Healdsburg Bar & Grill Goes Southern, Adds a Jack Daniels Milkshake

The menu is in the midst of a change at Cyrus’s casual offshoot, the Healdsburg Bar & Grill, and chef John Hallgrimson, with the help of owner Douglas Keane, is trying to make the place more of a “dinner destination” and not just a burger joint. In keeping with the trend that’s washed over us here in the city this year, the theme is Southern, with things like fried chicken and baby back ribs with fried pickles already being tested out as daily specials. Also on deck are some boozy adult milkshakes, like a chocolate malt with Jack Daniels. The changes come just after Keane closed Shimo down the street, and contemplates a possible new concept there.
