Christie’s Jamaican Food Closing; Tepito Opens in the East Village

East Village: Head over to Wayland (700 E. 9th St. at Ave. C) tonight between 6 and 8 p.m. to celebrate the launch of Bolthouse Farms' limited-edition Holiday Nog. They'll be whipping up "nogtails" and serving hors d'oeuvre to help get you in the festive spirit. [Grub Street]
Tepito, a new Mexican restaurant opened by a former chef at Le Cirque and Dos Caminos, just opened at 228 First Avenue. Touted as "modern Mexican cuisine," the restaurant's menu includes gulf crab guacamole, crispy oyster tostaditas, and an ample tequila list. [East Village Local/NYT]

Flatiron: On Christmas Eve Eataly will be hosting "The Ultimate Italian Holiday Feast." At their dine-around, patrons will get to explore the culinary landscape of Italy's twenty different regions by sampling dishes from the food hall's six restaurants. Financial District: Kosher food emporium Milk St. Cafe is in danger of closing owing to a 30 percent drop in business, which the owner attributes to barricades in front of the restaurant that have been left over from Occupy Wall Street. [Midtown Lunch]
Hell's Kitchen: City Sandwich, they of the "ItaLisboNyorker" flavored-sandwiches, are now serving breakfast (see the menu). Start your mornings with either the "Bench Girl" (Portuguese alheria, spinach, grilled onions, melted mozzarella, olive oil) or the "Carlos" (Portuguese morcela, Italian sausage, onions, spicy raw watercress, olive oil) ... the new breakfast of champions. Bark Hot Dogs is serving a special dinner on Wednesday, December 14 featuring smoked meats powerhouse purveyor, Nueske’s. The five-course tasting menu includes a bacon Cheddar hot dog and a smoked and braised pork shoulder with crispy egg. Accompanying the meat extravaganza will be special brews from Sixpoint, including an as-yet-to-be-released beer, Mad Scientist *7. Tribeca: To ring in the holidays, Landmarc is kicking off a new Monday Night Wine + Dine series in addition to their Late Night Menu on December 5. From then on, the restaurant will be featuring 26 wine selections not on the regular menu at a special reduced price. To accompany the wine, they'll be serving hearty French classics like cassoulet or coq au vin. Their Late Night Menu will be on offer from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. and includes a slider trio (braised lamb, mini burger, lamb meatball), macaroni and cheese gratinée with bacon, charcuterie, and a cheese plate.
