E.G.G. Gets Cooking In Former Fathom Digs

While all bets are on for Mike Stollenwerk’s newly relocated Fish to to get swimming on December 26 at 13th and Locust, word comes that the bar formerly known as Fathom Seafood House, which he opened last year on East Girard Ave. at Shackamaxon, just got rolling as East Girard Gastropub, or E.G.G., if you must. You may recall this is the spot that Stollenwerk sold to his former chef de cuisine, Rob Holloway. Meal Ticket reports that the new chef-owner has kept Fathom’s raw bar, but has expanded the menu to include more landlubber fare, like burgers, a hanger steaks and tacos carnitas.
