Two More Restaurants Headed to Downtown Brooklyn

You know Marty Markowitz is happy about this.

Crain's reports on a just-signed lease for 345 Adams Street. Two new spots — "New Jersey-based Sugar and Plumm and its newly created American BBQ and Beer Co." — will begin construction in March with a projected opening of fall 2012.

If you're keeping track of the Downtown Brooklyn restaurant boom (the DoBroRestoBoo?), you'll know that these two newly announced eateries come in addition to Harold Dieterle's forthcoming Marrow on Duffield Street; the opening-any-day-now French bistro La Défense in Metrotech; the multiple food stands at DeKalb Market; that Morton's steakhouse, which is also on Adams; and about a zillion burger joints, including a Metrotech Five Guys, a Smashburger on DeKalb, and the forthcoming Fulton Mall–adjacent Shake Shack. In other words, all the office workers in the area suddenly have a lot of new lunch options.
