M.J. Armstrong’s, named after Michael Armstrong, a trader who died in the Twin Towers, closed last week. The Post says it was the “first public venue anywhere to be named for a 9/11 victim.” Five Fordham grads originally opened the bar in Armstrong’s memory, eventually closing the doors because of financial issues. “It was a labor of love and I was happy to be a part of it, but all things come to an end, unfortunately,” said Steve Breen, one of the founders.
