Watch out for hungry protesters with can openers in their burlap bags, because next week,
26 new “canstruction” sculptures will hit downtown New York with a few presented right across from Zuccotti Park. The point is to create art in the name of food donation — all the cans go to the hungry through City Harvest once the pieces are deconstructed. “Occupy Wall Street has no effect with Canstruction New York,” a spokesperson told Crain’s. We’ll see about that. So far 60,000 pounds of food will be ready to give, with more to come through public donations. Paws off! [Crain’s]
