Rustic Canyon Tops Travi, Del Pero’s Burger List

What happens when a chef and a restaurateur try to eat 30 burgers in a few days? Not surprisingly, according to Jason Travi: "First you get the meat sweats, then the elevated heart rate." The chef teamed up with Mendocino Farms owner Mario Del Pero for a burger crawl through L.A. to sample what they thought were the best, in preparation for their own collaboration at the forthcoming Blue Cow Kitchen + Bar. They turn a pretty critical eye to the most important elements–the meat, bun, sear and accoutrements–and come up with their top five favorites.
