Ernesto’s 1521 Cafe
A while back we mentioned that Ernesto’s, the cozy BYOB near 15th and Spruce was possibly being taken over by James owners, Jim and Kristina Burke. Well, with the Burkes now setting their sights on New York’s Upper West Side, where Jim will run the show at Stephen Starr’s Italian number at the New York Historical Society, that now seems a little unlikely. But, in one of those “close enough for jazz” instances, Foobooz reports that James alums Andrew and Kristin Wood are working on opening Russet, a farm-to-table restaurant in the space. They’ve signed a lease on the property and are targeting December for an opening. [Foobooz]
