In case you missed the news last week via Grub Street’s Los Angeles desk, we thought we’d reiterate the fact that star chef Jeremy Fox and recent former Plum chef Charlie Parker are helping to open Freddy Smalls Bar & Kitchen (11520 Pico Blvd.) — a small plates-focused restaurant with a bunch of beer on tap, owned by the guy who founded new-style burger chain The Counter, and named for the space’s former incarnation as a bar called Freddy’s. (Fox, it appears, will be headed back up north after his consulting duties are through, and Parker will run the show.) Additionally, Chris Cosentino is opening a place called Pigg, and as you likely know, former Absinthe chef Jamie Lauren is now running Vodvil on Fairfax [Grub Street LA, Earlier]
