The ever-expanding Ike’s empire has just secured a spot for his fifth location of the popular sandwich shop: 2204 Broadway in Oakland, next door to Daniel Patterson’s Plum. Perhaps seeing there was a major demand in the neighborhood for decent lunchtime sandwiches that nearby Bakesale Betty decided it couldn’t even fill (they’re only open in that 2228 Broadway location on Tuesdays for now), Ike’s is stepping in to fill a void. We just hope this doesn’t mean the end for Plum’s adorable Porky cart. [Diablo]
