Fenway’s El Pelon Taqueria was ravaged in a Restaurant Row fire in 2007, reopened, and was destroyed again in 2009. Undaunted, they proceed to try again a few miles down Commonwealth in Brighton. Well, at long last, their original Peterborough Street location is back in business, which is very good news for local burrito fans growing tired of Chipotle and for drunkards who prefer to feast on late-night tacos, not pizza slices.
According to their Facebook page and Boston Restaurant Talk, they’re open as of today. The new/old location is open from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. So get thee to Fenway and order up a nice, husky El Guapo! [BRT]
