First Look at Brasilina, Serving Classic Brazilian Food in Hell’s Kitchen Starting Tomorrow
Photo: Melissa Hom
Hell's Kitchen is a well-documented hub of global eats, and now the hood gets a new Brazilian option, Brasilina, soft-opening tomorrow (no reservations and limited walk-ins for the first few weeks). The restaurant is a family affair for Silvanei Silveira, who's enlisted both of her children to help — her daughter Mariana Bull is the chef, while her son Daniel Bull co-owns and manages the restaurant. On the menu are Brazilian classics like tapioca fritters, scallop ceviche, and short ribs. There's also a selection of pastas, including a fusion-y yucca gnocchi with Brazilian beef-jerky sauce; wash it down with caipirinhas. Menu below, and see the space and some dishes in our slideshow.
