Romera’s New, Less Expensive Five-Course Menu; More Burgers for St. Marks

East Village: The Burger Shop opened Halloween weekend at 115 St. Marks Place, but for these past few weeks, patrons have had to stick to $10 pitchers of PBR and two-for-one beers during happy hour. The new burger joint is located in the former BarBao space, and will hopefully have their kitchen up and running to start flipping some patties this week. [EV Grieve]
Lower East Side: Despite some back-and-forth with the community board, it looks like Ludlow Manor — the three-story nightlife megaspace — will be officially opening its doors this weekend. Select revelers have already gotten to check out the new space, however, as the owners (including Luc Carl, Lady Gaga’s ex) soft-opened this past Saturday and threw a Halloween fête before that. Word is that Carl and Co. are also applying for a rooftop bar license. [Lo-Down]
Meatpacking: In what must be an acknowledgment of a series of less-than-stellar reviews, Romera has announced that they will now offer a $125, five-course menu in addition to their original $245, eleven-course prix fixe. What’s more, they’ve decided to cut back on the parade of flavored waters that accompanied their dishes, reducing the number to three waters that will mostly come out at the end of the meal. West Village: The Meatball Shop’s new tot-friendly outpost started serving lunch today. [Grub Street]
