After closing his Bistro LQ, Lauren Quenioux turned into a raging pop-up addict! Following recent stints at Starry Kitchen and Vertical Wine Bar (and a recent solo appearance by his cheese cart at Domaine LA), the chef announces that he’s going to Church & State next Wednesday to prepare a five-course dinner of French-Cali nouvelle cuisine for $65. Come check out the menu.
The menu includes such experimental dishes as ramen salad with lamb belly and hot Meyer lemon fennel oat meal, as well as the chef’s preparation of wood pigeon with apple cider glaze, miso, lentils, and nameko. Apparently, Quienioux and owner Yassmin Sarmadi have been looking for opportunities to bring the chef in for a dinner over the past year to showcase a different style of French cooking than fans would normally find at Church & State. To make reservations, call the restaurant at 213-405-1434 and see Quenioux’s full five-course menu below.
