There’s Now More Bubble Tea Than Starbucks In the Sunset

Boba is still big in S.F., and there’s no better evidence for that than the TeaWay chain, which bills itself as “the ORIGINAL self-serve bubble tea shop,” and which just opened its third location in the same two-block stretch of Irving Street, as The Feast reports. They took over a former Baskin Robbins at 2250 Irving Street (at 24th), and there are already TeaWays at 2142 Irving and 2150 Irving, which have lines out the door every night despite being only several doors down from each other, and other boba shops like Quickly and Wonderful Foods Co. nearby. Kind of crazy, right? The new, flagship TeaWay has also added some hot food like popcorn chicken and 99-cent curry fish balls, as well as a rose-flavored milkshake. [Feast]
