There’s big bummer brewing just west of the Alleghenies, and Pennsylvania’s premiere export is at the heart of it, the Dayton Business Journal reports. It seems that the Buckeye State has developed a keen thirst for the beers of D.G. Yuengling and Son. For years, drinkers have been slipping across state lines to get their hands on the stuff, and more recently precious pints of Yuengling have begun flowing at bars, as a staggered (no pun intended) roll-out into various Ohio markets tales shape. But just as America’s oldest brewery was gearing up to push further west, demand for the beer blew up. Which means: Plans to saturate Dayton and surrounding areas is on hold, simply because there isn’t enough of the brews to go around. The brewer is saying the beer is coming, but that it won’t get there by the end of October as originally planned. [DBJ]
