The official opening night is not set in stone, as there’s still an inspection or two to pass, but Cedar Hill (3242 Scott Street, the former Noodle Theory) is trying to softly open this week, as Tablehopper noted yesterday. The story is Texas-style barbecue, and — appropriately enough for the ‘hood — there’ll be plenty of white bread on the side. They’ve got a smoker imported direct from Mesquite, Texas, and in addition to pork, brisket, and housemade sausages, they’ll be doing fried chicken, po’boys, and fried pickles. Once they’re fully open, the hours will be 11 to 11, daily.
