The Corner (18th and Mission), which following a bit of drama surrounding a shady chef last year transformed into a venue for rotating pop-ups, has closed for good. Staffers posted the news on their Facebook page, as Mission Local reports, and Grub Street notes that at least two of the more successful pop-ups there will be relocating to the Winemakers’ Speakeasy (formerly B3) at 1152 Valencia: EAT will debut there as of this Thursday and Friday. Also there, on Sundays, will be Joanna Karlinsky’s Sweet Jo’s Chili and Biscuits; and on Mondays you’ll find Bernal Supper Club in regular rotation. [Grub Street, Mission Local]
