Here’s another case of profits being put before human health: The meat industry is trying to fight a California law, modeled on similar regulations for cows, that tries to protect consumers by removing “nonambulatory” or sick pigs from the human food chain. They’ve taken the fight to the Supreme Court, saying that profit margins on pork are too slim to spare the pigs. [LA Times via SFoodie]
