Though the renovations are going to be ongoing for another three to five months, the revamped Stow Lake Boathouse and Café will reopen today in Golden Gate Park, complete with a new food concession co-catered by La Cocina, Let’s Be Frank, and Frank Klein and Chad Newton’s American Box. The menu is pretty cheap, with the most expensive item being a tuna salad sandwich for $6.95, as the Chron reports. And in addition to the signature, nostalgic pink popcorn, look for other treats like all-natural hot dogs, piroshki, a turkey and Swiss sandwich, vegetarian spring rolls, a seasonal vegan soup, and Salvadoran pastries. “We’re going to great lengths to retain the character of the property and to bring the memories back,” says Klein.
