Yesterday marked the opening of Patxi’s Pizza (pronounced pah-chi’s) at 822 Irving Street, which is the fourth S.F. location (the others being in the Marina, Hayes Valley, and Noe Valley) and the sixth Bay Area location for the Chicago-style pizzeria. As discussed on Check, Please! recently, Patxi’s features both styles of Chicago pizza, deep-dish and stuffed, and with all their topping choices there’s something like a hundred million possible pizzas you can order there.

Sunset neighbors should be mark their calendars because on November 3 at 5 p.m. they’ll be doing an official grand-opening party, featuring — you guessed it — free pizza.

Patxi’s original location in Palo Alto opened in 2004, and since then they’ve expanded all over the city and to the East Bay, with a rapid expansion this past twelve months including the Noe Valley and Lafayette locations, as well as the new Irving spot.
