A purse snatcher has hit Katz’s several times in the last few months, swiping bags slung over the back of chairs when patrons are elbow-deep in the deli’s orgasmic pastrami, reports the Lo-Down. The thief, who is evidently a middle-aged African-American female, was caught on Katz’s surveillance system in a video you can see below. She’s also targeted Clinton Street Baking Co., where she pretended to be a customer and then fled with the goods. Seems the new LES is still kind of like the old LES, so keep an eye on your possessions, people.
