Anthony Bourdain recently griped about Rachael Ray: “Does she even cook anymore? … I don’t know why she bothers.” Because she has people to cook for her, of course! Like Ken Oringer!
We caught up with him over e-mail (he’s in New York), and he told us that he whipped up Coppa’s orrechietta with chicken sausage and long-cooked broccoli for the perky TV hostess. We’ll let you know when it airs. The NY-Boston love is strong for Oringer right now: In NY, he raved about the prospect of dining at Eleven Madison Park; meanwhile, he welcomed wd-50’s Wylie Dufresne to Toro after his Harvard lecture about meat glue.
