It’s finally here! Lazy Ox Canteen chef Josef Centeno is opening Bäco Mercat for lunch this Monday to serve his proprietary taco/gyro/pizza invention the bäco, which has popped up over the years at the chef’s various restaurants. We’ve been looking forward to Centeno’s new spot for a while, and are excited to see he’s elaborated on the bäzole concept he told us about in August, with a whole internationally-influenced selection. In fact, dude sounds a little obsessed with his creations, as he’s even got a bäco soda in store! Update: The restaurant did not open as reported and has been pushed back. [Squid Ink]
