Franklin Mortgage bartender Al Sotack and general manager Colin Shearn just dropped their latest cocktail menu. They’re calling it their “most distinctive” collection of drinks to date. That’s a pretty tall order to fill, but nonetheless it boasts what is perhaps one of the most seasonally skewed drink lists they’ve put forth. Standouts include the Sotack created Red Wedding, a cold weather swizzle made with a delicious mulled wine syrup and Lairds bonded applejack, El Dorado 12 year rum, Peychaud’s and Angosturas bitters and served tall with crushed ice; and Shearn’s Ego Trippin’, a drink that uses Kalani coconut liqueur, fresh pineapple juice and Thai spice bitters to elicit a sense of something that tastes new, and yet still familiar. And back for a second round are last fall’s Sam Hain, a cognac and applejack Old Fashioned with with house pumpkin syrup that’s partly inspired by the ancient Celtic holiday that gave way to Halloween and Glenn Danzig’s post Misfits band of the same name. Check out the full menu straight ahead.
