At Parallel 37, There Will Be Plaid

Little details keep trickling in about the Ritz’s redo of their Dining Room, which will be called Parallel 37 (after S.F.’s geographic latitude), and which will feature chef Ron Siegel doing a menu of American contemporary cuisine that will not be “over-manipulated.” In other words, a little simpler and more casual than before, but probably still nice. And from a release we receive today, a couple design details stand out: Designers EDG Interior Architecture will be bringing in a sense of “tailored sophistication” with plaid-embossed leather seating, a plaid-etched glass wall around the private dining area, and a glowing glass graphic panel of California oaks. They’re aiming for an early December opening. [Grub Street, Earlier]
