Sunburnt Calf Brooklyn Now Serving Cocktails, With Food to Follow This Weekend
The Sunburnt Calf Brooklyn, a.k.a. “the Calf BK,” opened quietly on Thursday in Prospect Heights with cocktails from the Summit Bar’s quaff maestro Greg Seider; food will follow this weekend. The drink lineup includes a Thai basil lemonade, a calamansi sour made with calamansi limes and Yamazaki whiskey, and other Asian-themed libations. The “Australasian” from chefs Jimmy Tu (Eleven Madison Park) and Christopher Faulkner is Asian- and seafood-leaning, with ample noodle options and a choose-your-own-filling “wrap & roll” section. Weekday breakfast will be served, along with lunch and boozy brunch. Scope out the 20-seat restaurant (with 40-space outdoor garden) in our slideshow, and see the menus below.
