• Very matter of factly, Adam Erace assesses Santucci’s rectangular nine inches by nine inches pizza as the “best pizza I’ve had in months.” [Citypaper]

• “Salad-and-wrap spot” sweetgreen in University City serves food that’s “several steps up from what you’d expect at a chain,” according to Brian Freedman. With the Santorini salad, “you get a lot for your money,” but it’s bogged down by “inherent blandness” the Sabzi salad “was less impressive.” [PW]

• “Delightful trimmings” that included “cool, crisp, thinly-sliced radishes and bits of Point Reyes blue cheese” “sang on the plate” for Phyllis Stein-Novack while checking out a.kitchen’s salad of baby lettuce hearts. On a revisit she found the music “was a bit loud and annoying,” while she sipped a Beefeater martini, “because the restaurant does not offer Bombay Sapphire.” “Another winner” was Bryan Sikora’s octopus, which was “perfectly-cooked” and “retained a bit of bite.” [South Philly Review]
