We’ve been nervous. Rumors swirled a month ago that Old Style, which has been served at Wrigley Field since 1950, was looking to exit its deal with the Cubs to focus on branding Old Style Light. This meant two things: first, fans would no longer be able to score a cold plastic cup of Old Style while watching the game; second, we’d all be subjected to Old Style Light advertising — and we really didn’t want that. Like we said, we were nervous. Luckily, everything has been fixed.

The Cubs sent out a press release last night which confirmed that Old Style will be at Wrigley for at least two more years. Look out for new signage and “more engaging fan events and additional promotional opportunities next season.” Of course, none of this will help the Cubs this season, but there’s always next year, right?
