The restaurant, potentially called La Brasa, would be located at 118 Broadway. Right now there’s not much in the way of fine dining in that ‘hood, though there are plenty of worthwhile mom-and-pop-type eateries. (Loyal readers of Grub Street know all about our abiding passion for the sublime red-sauce joint Vinny’s at Night, just down the block.)
This could be a welcome, polished addition to the neighborhood (and, we assume, one with a slightly lower price point than the chef’s Boston restaurants). McClelland, after all, is renowned for his attention to detail and hospitality: Just a few months ago, L’Espalier won a James Beard award for outstanding service. We’ll keep you posted on further developments.
