The latest iteration of nose-to-tail eating may just bring with it the end of a porcine era. A rep for DiBruno Bros sends word that on Tuesday, September 20, Stoudts Brewing Company and 7th Heaven Farm will team up with DiBruno chef Rob Sidor for a beer-and-cheese dinner called The Brewer, The Farm, The Chef and The Goat. And oh yes: There will be beer; there will be cheese; and there will be goat.
One hundred percent grass-fed and pasture raised, we might add. And it’s threatening to dethrone the pig as Philly’s favorite. As one of the earliest domesticated animals, goat has its place in many cuisines, but hasn’t gotten its due lately.
Hopefully that will change when Sidor sets up his interactive tasting stations offering various preparations of goat and goat cheese set up throughout the upstairs space at DiBruno’s Rittenhouse.
