Can’t get into one of those super-crammed Science + Cooking lectures at Harvard? Fret not: The Boston Center for Adult Education kicks off their very own "celebrity chef" lecture series starting Monday, and this year’s line-up looks tasty indeed.
The season kicks off with William Kovel, who just launched Catalyst; he’ll transform the classroom into a real live restaurant for the night, so this is your chance to pretend that you work behind the line without scarring your hands, throwing out your back, and alienating your family members! The (very) hands-on course is $75.
Future chefs include Coppa’s Jamie Bissonnette (he’ll teach butchering); Sweet Cheeks’ Tiffani Faison (she’ll talk salads), and Shucked author Erin Byers Murray in conjunction with Island Creek Oyster Bar (you’ll learn how to shuck, naturally; you’ll also get a free book!).
