The unsinkable Mr. Brown just can’t stay away from L.A. these days, and Da former Mayor was recently dining at not one but two Wolfgang Puck restaurants in a row (Spago and Chinois) and chatted up the chef, as is his wont. When he heard that Wolfgang’s biggest business lately is his expanding steakhouse brand Cut, which he recently brought to London, he immediately saw an opportunity. “I recommended to him that he come back to San Francisco and rescue Postrio by turning it into a Cut,” says Brown. “He sent me on a mission to find investors to back such a great idea.” We kind of have a glut of high-end steakhouses already, but something tells us Willie might just do it.
