What Happens When Is Selling Its Furniture, Too

A piece of ill-fated-restaurant history can be yours, for cheap. Photo: Jenny Miller

While Elaine’s prepares to auction off Table No. 1, with chairs, for hundreds of dollars (not to mention a bunch of other stuff), What Happens When’s white-painted tables and chairs can be yours for a mere $10 apiece. We happened by this rather forlorn sign on Cleveland Place today and snapped a pic. So if you’re opening a pop-up restaurant and you need furniture that’s flexible enough to shape-shift with the room as you go … Oh, never mind: stuff that dream and use it to furnish your sun porch or something.
