We all know that coffee can help cure hangovers, but now a study from researchers at Rutger’s University claims that consumption of coffee reduces your risk of skin cancer, too.

Caffeine, it turns out, kills skin cells damaged by exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet light. The study shows that drinking three cups of coffee a day diminishes the risk of skin cancer by as much as 15 percent. Though we are not medical professionals, we’re guessing that if a couple cups of ordinary joe can cut the risk of melanoma, a growler of La Colombe’s Pure Black might be able to knock out a brain tumor.
