Hearkening back to the company’s origins, Levi’s wanted to launch a new line of men’s workwear, and they chose the kitchen at Saison as a testing ground for their new line of chef’s jackets, aprons, and work pants, which form the heart of this new collection. (Eric Joule, a higher-up in the company, is a big fan of the restaurant and their refined but casual aesthetic.) Refinery 29 documents the collaboration, and interviews designer Aylin Beyce, who took inspiration from both a vintage Levi’s apron from their archives and a vintage French cook’s jacket from the flea market. Also, they were sweet enough to toss in a new suit for sommelier Mark Bright. [Refinery 29]
