Paula Deen Fires Back at Bourdain

Paula Deen was not pleased with Anthony Bourdain's comments in that recent TV Guide interview that laid into her and fellow Food Network star Rachael Ray (plus, evidently, Guy Fieri and Sandra Lee). "Anthony Bourdain needs to get a life. You dont have to like my food, or Rachaels, Sandras and Guys. But its another thing to attack our character," Deen told "Page Six." Far from being "the most dangerous person in America," as Bourdain reportedly labeled Deen, the star insisted, "In the last two years, my partners and I have fed more than 10 million hungry people by bringing meat to food banks. And she's not the only one making an impact: My good friends Rachael, Guy and Sandra are the most generous charitable folks I know. They give so much of their time and money ... I have no idea what Anthony has done to contribute besides being irritable.

Well! It seems a full-blown feud could be brewing. So what did Bourdain have to say for himself? On Twitter he clarified, "my comment was actually 'worst, most dangerous to America cook on FN.'" Okay, if true, that is slightly less offensive. And in another tweet, the bad-boy chef sounded sick of the whole situation: "Resolved: Next time I'm asked (for the millionth time) who the worst cooks on Food Network are, I'll just shut up." Yeah ... that's probably a good idea.
