If you had your wine glass all primed for Daniel Angerer and Lori Mason’s upcoming heuriger in their Klee space, put it away: Today comes word that the couple has closed Little Cheese Pub and put it and Klee on the market. Mason tells Eater, “[Angerer] has officially joined a growing restaurant group that shares his passion for bringing sustainable, local fare on a larger scale.” The chef’s first restaurant with the mystery group is slated for mid-September. Update: We were able to reach Mason who couldn’t say much, but told us a little bit more: “[Angerer and the unnamed restaurant group ] have been working together for a few months now. They were toying with the idea of working together in a fuller capacity,” she tells us. So will Mason, a partner in each of the couple’s restaurants, be involved? “It’s unclear about how what I’ve been doing will fit into the picture,” she says, but maybe something in PR. “[The restaurants] were definitely part of the fabric of our lives, and there’s some sadness, but no regret.”
