Tablehopper reports on a trio of grande-dame celebrity sightings this week. First off, actress/singer/gay icon Bette Midler dined (like every other celeb who drops into town) at Quince.
Secondly, Jane Fonda dined at Betelnut and autographed plates for the chef and her server. Also, she returned to Berkeley to see pal Alice Waters at Chez Panisse.
And lastly, the great Gena Rowlands was here shooting a film called Olive, and the as yet unopened Park Tavern hosted a wrap party for the film on Sunday (one of the investors in the restaurant bankrolled the film).
