Just because The Dolce Group has been off the radar recently—well, other than turning Ketchup into Lemon Basket, and using it to promote their new VHI reality show, Famous Food—doesn’t mean someone isn’t stirring the pot. According to The Wrap, Mike “Boogie” Malin filed a lawsuit against Shereen Arazm and her attorney, Martin Singer, for “extortion, violation of civil rights and infliction of emotional distress.” He accuses Singer and Arazm, a former Dolce Group partner who’s now co-owner of super popular Terroni, of hiring someone to hack into his emails and illegally tap his phone.
But that’s not even the juicy part.
Malin’s is supposedly a counter suit to one Arazm filed against him and fellow Dolce Group founder Lonnie Moore for alleged “embezzlement, conversion and breach of fiduciary duty.” She accuses the two of diverting funds from Geisha House for their own use and striking deals with particular vendors. But then there’s a part about Malin’s alleged “Craigslist-based sexual dalliances.” The suit even names his particular fetish (father/son/uncle/nephew role playing) and nicknames (“Uncle Jerry”). Really, you can’t make this stuff up.
Needless to say, the two have seen their share of lawsuits over the years. Oh, and about Famous Food. You haven’t seen it? Yeah, neither has anyone else: It’s said to be VHI’s lowest performing debut this season.
