West Loop: Private Dining by Sepia is just about ready to open. This is exactly what it sounds like: The private event space is located next door to Sepia, and you can rent it for special events and the like. We’ll be taking a look around next week, but we were able to snag a copy of the menu that chef Andrew Zimmerman has put together for the project.

Bucktown: The 312 Dining Diva reports that Dion Antic, who just recently opened Porkchop in the West Loop, is planning to open a grilled cheese restaurant called Melt Sandwich Shop. Located in the former home of Nalyah’s Café at 1840 N. Damen, it will be decorated as a “schoolhouse study,” complete with communal tables. Look for it to open after Labor Day weekend. Lincoln Square: LM Restaurant just hired Justin Perdue as its new executive chef. He’s coming straight from Sixteen, but he has also done stints at numerous restaurants around town, including NoMI, Topolobampo, and Old Town Brasserie. A new menu is expected later in the summer. [Grub Street]

Irving Park: The new Chipotle that we wrote about earlier in the month is planning to officially open on August 23, 2011. It will be located at 3227 West Addison, near the corner of Addison and Elston. [Grub Street]
