The Parm sandwich shop that we first told you about back in March won’t be open for at least another month, but today the Post brings the news that partners Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi, and Jeff Zalaznick [full disclosure: He’s the brother of Grub contributor Samantha Zalaznick] will be opening a Parm sandwich stand at Yankee Stadium tomorrow.

They’ll be selling their much-loved turkey sandwiches and a new meatball sandwich (does that count as more competition for the Meatball Shop?) at all the home games for the rest of the season. Zalaznick tells us that the Major Restaurant Group — that’s “Major” as in “MJR,” as in “Mario, Jeff, Rich” — has even more plans in the works, something they also told Frank Bruni last April. But right now their “focus is on Parm, Parm Yankee Stadium, and the changes at Torrisi, and doing all of that at the highest level.”
