A new location of Tender Greens is opening tomorrow on Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena’s Playhouse District. This sixth Tender Greens store will adhere to the same principles of fresh, sustainably-sourced food, while showing its own distinct character through reclaimed wood salvaged from Santa Monica’s faded Lighthouse Restaurant (where the next Tender Greens is coming) and art and photos from Kii Arens and Chris Reccardi. What else?

n an eco-friendly attempt, the new location will due away with bottles by serving all drinks in glasses, which reduces waste (but probably uses more water in washing them). Also found at this location will be chef Daniel Schaffhauser, an Alsace-born vet of Casa del Mar and Beverly Wilshire Hotel who plans on offering daily, sustainable specials that are directed by market trips, along with the occasional French remembrance past. Taking locavore principles to heart, the new shop will also feature coffee from nearby Jones Roasters. Expect the doors to open at 11:30 A.M. tomorrow.

Tender Greens, 621 East Colorado Blvd. Pasadena.
