We suspect that South Philly Tap Room chef Scott Schroeder purposely delayed the roll out of his long-awaited Scott Dogs hot dog cart until Saturday so he could have its debut coincide with National Hot Dog Day. He’s bringing his homemade hot dogs to Old City’s Silicon Fine Art Print studio’s wienertastic Cradles to Crayons benefit, which will also feature prints and more hot dogs from tubed meats aficionado Hawk Krall. Cradles to Crayons is a nonprofit that provides essential items for children, from newborn to age 12 in low-income and homeless situations. More than dozen other Old City businesses are also participating. Silicon’s owners are seeking donations of new or gently used children’s clothing.
