Once Again, Pizza Means Three Stars From Bauer in His Review of Piccino

We all know Mr. Bauer loves his pizza, and that often translates into a three-star review (see also his reviews of Zero Zero, Ragazza, Gialina, and his recent re-explanation of the whole star system). Sunday’s review of the revamped and relocated Piccino is no exception! Three stars it is, but Bauer is quick to say that the restaurant is “much more than a pizzeria” these days, even though eight pizzas form the core of the menu. He also loves the salads, pastas (one special per night), the fried green tomatoes, and “an exemplary and refreshing coconut panna cotta.” And he says the cool space “captures the spirit of the emerging neighborhood [Dogpatch] the way Nopa did a few years ago.” [Chron, Earlier slideshow]
