It looks like fusion-y Castro eatery Nirvana (544 Castro Street) is not long for this world, and in its place comes something called The Dancing Pig(s). Grub Street finds the news today via the ABC, and it’s notable in that this is a restaurant with a full liquor license, and it’s in a neighborhood where there hasn’t been a ton of restaurant turnover until recently. (Canela, a Spanish restaurant, is opening in the former Capri space in about six weeks, and the Fuzio space at 469 Castro remains in play.) We’re still looking into details about The Dancing Pig from new owners Linda Holl, James Kleysteuber, and Lawrence Metzger, and will report back when we hear. Nirvana remains open in the interim.
