We weren’t kidding about the flood of new deal sites yesterday. This morning we woke up to an e-mail from AmazonLocal announcing a $35 dinner for two to Logan Square’s very good Real Tenochtitlan. Based with Amazon.com, the service will offer 50 percent off deals to restaurants, spas, events, and numerous other activities. If, like us, you don’t remember ever signing up for this fine service, that’s because you didn’t have a choice. Though Amazon hopes the message was “useful,” you can unsubscribe easily.

As the Tribune points out, Amazon launched this service a month ago in Boise, ID, and it plans to quickly take over the world expand around the country. Interestingly, Amazon didn’t source the deals, and instead outsourced the responsibility to LivingSocial. Eventually, the site will take over the responsibility. Either way, if you’re interested, add this one to your deal list.
