On Sunday, Ike’s Place owner Ike Shehadeh is opening his second Ike’s Lair in Redwood City (2655 Broadway), the first of which is in nearby Redwood Shores. This brings the total locations in his growing sandwich empire to four, with another location on the Stanford campus, and the relocated flagship at 3489 16th Street. There are also two more locations in the works on the S.F. State campus, and one in Washington D.C., and rumored expansion plans in L.A. and Berkeley too, meaning that the empire could double in size, to eight spots, by next year. The Redwood City spot will open Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and will be open seven days a week. [Grub Street]
