It’s time to practice your culinary chops while simultaneously talking directly to some imaginary TV audience; Food Network is pulling into town next Wednesday, August 3, to cast the eighth season of the Food Network Star. The show features a collection of mostly amateur cooks reacting to a series of increasingly difficult challenges, all to see who would make the best TV host. Oddly, Chicago actually has a pretty good average for the show: The Hearty Boys — aka Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh — won the very first show, and season six winner, Aarti Sequeira, graduated from Northwestern University. Think you have the chops? Check out all the details below.
