Given that he’s eaten out just about every night of his life for the past two decades, Michael Bauer says it’s “not a bad record” that he’s only had food poisoning once before in all that time. But he’s been felled again today, and says he’s “flat on his back” and likely has had to cancel some reservations. He says, “I’m not sure where to point fingers, so I won’t.” But you can bet the rumors shall fly today around S.F. about where he ate last night and what poor restaurant (or food truck) is to blame for taking Bauer out of commission… and all this the day after he was getting obsessed about this new food safety law.
